The Minneapolis Area REALTORS presents our Housing and Economic Symposium

7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. Registration and Continental Breakfast

8:30 a.m. - 9:50 a.m. Keynote Presentation  Lawrence Yun, Chief Economist and Senior Vice President, Research

National Association of REALTORS Chief Economist and Senior Vice President, Lawrence Yun, will be addressing many aspects of the local and national housing market. He will discuss recent developments in the housing market, economic factors and impact on the future of home pricing, historical impacts of economics in housing trends and finally the current consumer and state of the economy.

This course has been approved by the Minnesota Commissioner of Commerce for 1.5 hours of real estate continuing education.

10:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. The Mapping Prejudice Project

10:40 a.m. - 11:40 a.m. Ron Wirtz, Director of Regional Outreach, Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis

Ron Wirtz, Director of Regional Outreach from the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis will be discussing how the Federal Reserve System and the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis play a role in the economy. He will discuss the current state of the Minnesota economy using a variety of metrics, as well as how that has potential effect on the future.

This course has been approved by the Minnesota Commissioner for 1 hour of real estate continuing education.
