You'll explore the historical context of housing discrimination, including racial zoning, redlining, and the lasting impacts of segregation. Learn about key federal laws like the Civil Rights Act of 1866 and the Fair Housing Act of 1968, as well as state and local regulations. The course also covers current-day issues, including implicit bias, steering, appraisal bias, and controversial practices like pocket listings and love letters.
