Course Description: 2025/26 Required Module: Contracts

This real estate contracts class provides essential knowledge for navigating property transactions. There are many contract forms which the licensee must be familiar with and be able to competently explain to their clients. It emphasizes the legal importance of contracts, which serve as the foundation for sales, purchases, and leases. Understanding contract elements like offer, acceptance, consideration, and contingencies empowers professionals to draft clear, enforceable agreements that protect all parties involved. This knowledge reduces risks, minimizes disputes, and fosters smooth and successful real estate transactions.

Course Objectives:
  • Gain a clearer understanding of legal requirements in real estate contracts.
  • Discuss and analyze contracts, addendums and agreements while identifying common form-related issues in transactions.
  • Develop strategies to prevent contractual risks and mistakes.
  • Enhance the ability to guide buyer and sellers through complex real estate transactions. 

Course Duration:  July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026

This comprehensive course is designed for real estate professionals seeking to fulfill the required curriculum for Salesperson and Broker licensing in Minnesota. 


Exam: A final examination will assess participants' understanding of the material covered throughout the course.

This 3.75-hour module satisfies the 1-hour broker module training requirement as required in §§ 82.61(i) for 2025-2026 
(in other words, there will be no separate 1-hour broker module course for 2024-2025)
Completion of this course will NOT satisfy the 1-hour Fair Housing OR
 the 1-hour of Agency Law as required in  §§ 82.61.(c) (1) (2)
