DescriptionLocation Professor Ed Goetz, Director of The Center for Urban and Regional Affairs (CURA) at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs, will be presenting his findings on a recent Rent Stabilization Study published at the request of the Minneapolis City Council. His report analyzes the rental housing market conditions in the city since the early 2000’s, reviews rent stabilization program options for the city to consider, and estimates the potential impact of rent stabilization in Minneapolis. Professor Goetz is nationally recognized for his research on U.S. housing policy. He has offered to share his insights from his report with MAR and provide time to answer questions so members can have a better understanding of how a rent stabilization ordinance in Minneapolis might impact the real estate industry.
